• No practice on: Wednesday, December 27th.  (Heat's Holiday Staycation week of 12/26 instead, more information to come) (17 Wednesday practices + Holiday staycation = 18 practice days)

To avoid so many parents/players reaching out with questions, please read the below as it is a great resource for you.

Parents, please confirm that there is space for your player via the registration page before you purchase your Badger Region Membership as stated below.   They will not reimburse you.  So register here first and then take care of purchasing your Badger Region membership after.

If there is not space for your player.  Please email HeatVBCinfo@gmail.com with your player's grade, name, practice days/times of availability and the best text # to reach you at.  You will be added to the 9th-12th grade waiting list incase there is a cancellation or we add another team.  You will be alerted via text if your player's name is next up on the list.

**Hint - may be easier to complete registration via computer vs via phone.

This registration session will allow you to complete contact information, sign up for participation, and submit payment.

If you are interested in your son or daughter being placed on a Fire League team, please confirm that you agree to the below requirements prior to completing this registration.

Qualified Player requirements and commitment:

• Heat VBC will provide 1 Club Head Coach for each team and each team will max at 14 players.

• All registered Fire League players must have a current Badger Region/USA Volleyball Membership. 

  • If your child has a membership that was purchased after September 1st, 2022 - it is only valid until 8/31/23.  With our league starting in December, you will need to purchase a new annual license after 9/1/23. Annual license is $55.00. (Heat does not receive any of the money from this membership.  This membership is simply required from a liability standpoint.)

• When you sign your son or daughter up for Heat's FireLeague program, you are committing to this practice time each week and to Friday and/or Sunday night scrimmages between mid - February thru end of March. 

• Payment upon registration is required via visa/mastercard. There is no payment reimbursement if the player simply couldn’t attend practice or decides to quit the program.  We have budgeted the program with having only 14 players on each team for the duration of the program.

• Your son/daughter must fit into the grade requirements as stated. 

• Your son/daughter will be placed on the team based you registered for.   Players who are interested in Heat's Fire League will automatically be welcomed to a team upon registration, there is no try out to earn a spot.  Everyone is welcome to play. 

• This is Heat's very own rec league program where it will be other Heat team's playing against each other.  

• Heat will not move players around on various teams so that players can play with their friends.  Players stay on the team that they registered within.  The only way a player can be moved to another team is for their registration to be cancelled and for them to re-register for another team.  A re-payment transaction would also need to take place as well as Heat cutting a check back to you due to your need to re-register.  We would prefer not to have to put in this administrative time so please carefully select your team at time of registration. 

• The purpose of our Fire League is to provide a healthy positive environment where girls and boys who may or may not be trying out for club can come together and have some fun while learning volleyball with other youth their grade level within a rec league environment.

• **Please note no Club Travel Team players that have accepted an offer at any club for the 2023-2024 season are allowed to register/play on Heat's Fire League team. This rule is for the simple fact that we want as many players in the Fox Valley area who want to play volleyball to play.  We don't allow a club player to take away that spot of someone wanting to play Fire League.

• After you register, our Fire League Coordinator, Maia, will send you a confirmation email within 1 week of registration to confirm your child's first practice date, time, location, as well as our season kickoff parent and player meeting.

• Again closer to the practice date, Maia will reach out again with first day instructions, will introduce you to coach and create a Groupme account for season communication with coach.  Please download the Groupme app.  

• Please note, your son/daughter will receive a practice t-shirt to play in.  They will not be traveling to regional club tournaments.  This league is simply a fun rec style league.  All scrimmages will take place for 1 hour on Friday and/or Sundays nights between mid-February and end of March at Champion Center.  A schedule will be sent out closer to February.  

ROSTER RULES: Only players listed on the team roster maintained by Heat’s Fire League Coordinator, are eligible to participate in our Fire League. Guest players and/or parents are not authorized at any time or under any circumstances to be on the gym floor. 

Additional players may be added to the team roster at any time as long as player has pre-registered with Heat and the team roster doesn’t exceed 14 players. 

Payment Requirements: 

• Payment Reimbursement rules: No reimbursements will be issued for any reason that pertains to the player not being able to attend practice.  

• Reimbursements will only be issued for uncontrollable reasons which resulted in practices no longer being held like a COVID shelter in place.  The situation would be brought to the board and voted on.   

• If a player has a season ending injury, and we can find a substitute player, the substitute player can take over remaining payments.

1. You are required to pay in full within this registration. Cost is $19.50 per week.  Each team may have a different # of weeks, please see registration for details. **Please note our website does charge 3.25% + $1.50 for a convenience fee.  Heat receives none of this.

CO-ED FIRE LEAGUE PRACTICES, CHOOSE ONE THAT WORKS BEST FOR YOUR CHILD THRU END OF MARCH

YOU HAVE REACHED THE 9th-12th COED FIRE LEAGUE REGISTRATION.  If you are looking for 4th-6th or 7th-8th grade, that is a different registration that can be found at www.heatvbc.com.

When you sign your son or daughter up for Heat's Fire/Rec League team, you are committing to this practice time/day of the week from the first week of December through end of March (when the Fire League concludes for the season). 

Cost - Total cost is due at registration. Cost is $19.50 each practice.  Prices per team are listed under the registration tab of this registration link and payment is due at time of registration via card.

Practices - One - 2 hour practice per week.  Due to the mass amount of gym space we need to support our Travel Club teams, Fire League teams, Volleyseeds program, Adult Open gym and private/group lessons, each team will be assigned to a certain gym to practice at for the season.  Practices will stay at the same time and location each week.  We rent gym space from: Champion Center, Downtown Appleton YMCA, Downtown Appleton Boys and Girls Club, Ogden YMCA on Shady Lane in Neenah, Mt Olive School - Appleton. 

Practice Cancellations - If practice is canceled due to an unexpected facility space restriction, a make up practice will be offered.  There will be no payment reimbursement if a player simply couldn’t attend practice regardless of reason. 

 There will not be player reimbursement if 1 or 2 practices get canceled due to inclement weather.  This is due to Heat not charging for the 4 to 5 scrimmage hours.  If more than 2 practices are canceled due to inclement weather, make up practice dates will be offered.

How to Register for a certain team - Please pay close attention to the drop down within the registration page, look at which grade level, day of the week, time and location you choose for your child's practice.  There will be no availability to switch a player behind the scenes to a friends team, different practice time/location, etc.  (Even if a more ideal location and practice time comes open after you register.)   Only solution is that would have to request for your child's registration to be deleted from the original and then sign up really quickly for a different spot.  The system will not allow you to have a duplicate registration.  Due to the waiting lists we have every season, I do not recommend this approach as teams fill up extremely quickly. 

Waiting List - If there is not an available team spot for your player based on grade, practice time, skill level, etc please email HeatVBCinfo@gmail.com  Please share: your player's name, grade, skill level, gender and all the days of the week and weekend that work for your player for practice.  Last year we were able to fill 10 more teams from our waiting lists.  Heatvbcinfo@gmail.com.

In Need of More Coaches - I have plenty of gym space to add more teams, I just don't have any more coaches for this age group besides the current 4.  If you or someone you know is passionate about volleyball and would like to share that passion with the next generation, please text Kim @ 920-419-3763 to schedule an exploratory conversation about coaching your player's Fire League team.   Please don't direct any questions to this cell phone #, all questions should be directed to HeatVBCinfo@gmail.com.

The more parents that are willing to coach, the more players can play.  We have a tenured coaching staff, video library of grade level appropriate drills and lots of resources to set you up for success.  As a parent coach, you will earn enough to cover your player's fees for the season while spending some awesome court time with them.

Scrimmages - Scrimmages are no cost.  Each team will get 4 to 5 scrimmages against other Heat Fire League teams between mid-February to end of March.  Scrimmages will take place on Friday evenings and/or Sunday evenings at the Champion Center.  

Season Start & End - Season start and end and how holidays are impacted are all dependent on the practice night, see below:

• Monday, Novebmer 27th  - Monday, March 25th
• Tuesday, November 28th - Tuesday, March 26th 
• Wednesday, November 29th - Wednesday, March 27th
• Thursday, November 30th - Thursday, March 28th
• Friday, December 1st - Friday, March 29th
• Saturday, December 2nd - Saturday, March 30th
• Sunday, December 3rd  -  Sunday, March 31st

Payments -  are all made online via the registration link. 

Exclusive Registration Window - From 9:42pm on 11/14 - 11:11am on 11/16 - Registration is only open to those who tried out with Heat on Saturday, November 11th and didn't accept an offer at any club in the Fox Valley area.  Heat's Fire League program is not available to players who are on a club team at any traveling club team, including Heats.  This is an exclusive program for non-club team players only.  

This link will be open to the public on Thursday, November 16th at 11:11am.  Please note that before registration opens to the public, the registrant list will be scrubbed.  Anyone who registered for Fire League between 11/14 @ 9:42pm and 11/16 at 11:10am, who didn't also register/participate in Heat's 11/11 club tryout, will be removed from registration.  During this time frame, only those who registered with Heat and didn't receive an offer are allowed exclusive rights to be the first who register for Heat's Fire League, thank you for understanding.  After 11:11am on Thursday, 11/14 the registration will be open to the public.

Please note below, practice times/days/locations are specific to grade level.  Please be careful in your selection as players will not be allowed to swap teams post registration, they will only be able to be removed and will need to re-register.  Teams will fill fast.  If there is a practice time/day of the week that you were hoping for, but the team is already full: email Heatvbcinfo@gmail.com and asked to be put on a waiting list.   Please include the grade level, all of the days of the week and practice times that work for you, etc.  We may have people stepping up to coach teams which may allow us to text you about the opportunity.  The more days of the week and times you are open to, the more likely to be placed on a team.
